The summer is all about free summer activities. This weekend is no exception. The Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance is hosting their third annual City Of Water Day Festival. It’s a day of free entertainment and adventure for the whole family – and those of us flying solo.

The event takes place in 4 different locations from 10am to 4pm:
Governors Island, NYC
Liberty State Park, NJ
Brooklyn Bridge Park, NYC
Atlantic Basin, NYC

Activities include:
1. Free harbor boat tours for thousands on historic, educational, and working vessels
2. A spectacular flotilla of rowers, paddlers, and other human-powered boaters
3. A special children’s fair with with dozens of activities just for families, including bike scavenger hunts, puppet shows, sing-a-longs, and craft sessions
4. the Waterfront Action Fair where you can learn about everything going on around and on the water
5. Our one-of-a-kind on-water Festival Launch & Press Event
6. Live music, Vendy-award-winning food, and much more!

Next weekend is the Atlantic City Food and Wine Festival, which features a handful of select chefs to participate in a series of culinary events including dinners, demonstrations, tastings, and much more. This year, famous chefs from the Food Network and other national chefs will come together to bring you a fun and exciting culinary experience. Each event costs approx. $30-$100 so choose wisely or it can become very expensive. Once you stuff yourself, take a walk along the broadwalk or try your hand at a round of crabs. It’s no Vegas, but Atlantic City has its own charms.
