The Science Of Sex 2

This is the second edition of interesting sex factoids.  After reading this, will you be compelled to change your lifestyle?  What do you think about these factoids?  Let us know.

  1. It’s a known fact: most people enjoy sex.  But, if you are one of the few people who don’t enjoy sex, maybe this might entice you.  According to Dr. Werner Habermehl, from the Hamburg Research Institute, regular sexual intercourse stimulates the brain and optimizes brain functions making you smarter.  It’s because sex releases 7 different types of chemicals in the brain that gives your brain a workout.  Serotonin and Oxytocin are two of these chemicals.  Serotonin relays messages from one area of the brain to another, influencing approx. 40 million brain cells that affect memory, learning, social behavior, mood, among other things.  Oxytocin helps to increase trust and decrease fear, making one more confident with his/her decision and the decision making process.  Some even believe that oxytocin may even play a role in eventually curing autism.  Here’s a thought.  Does it mean that all the sluts (female and male) out there who spend more time in the bedroom are likely to be smarter than those who spend their time in a library?  So the next time you are stumped, maybe you should just have sex to get the brain juices working.
  2. Dr. Werner Habermehl also claims that women with red hair have more active sex lives – they have sex more often and with more partners than their brunette and blonde peers.  He also concluded that women who dye their hair red are signaling to men that they are in search for a sexual partner or subconsciously telling their current partner that they are looking for something better.  The reason?  The color red stands for passion and when men see a redhead, they think these women are more assertive and open to sexual propositions.  And all this time, I thought blondes had more fun.
  3. According to Dr. Maria Angela Cerruto, an urologist at the University of Verona, found that wearing heels that create a 15-degree angle to the ground (equivalent of 3-inch heels) can tone a woman’s abdomen and pelvic floor muscle.  At that angle, the pelvic muscles are more relaxed, which improves their strength and ability to contract.  This supposedly improves sexual experience for women and helps creates more mind-blowing sex.  This is indirectly true for men as well as men find women in heels to be more attractive (notice the heels in pictures of women in sexy half-naked pictures).  Wearing 3 inch heels make women look taller and more slender, but many are painful as hell.  So the toss-up: painful heels that lead to ugly feet (corns and calluses) or the possibility for mind-blowing orgasms?  Sigh, tough choice.

A possible course of action: dye my hair red to attract more men; wear high heels to have better sex with these men; and increase my chances of finding a cure for cancer.  Hmm…too bad I don’t look good as a redhead.
